UES Cost Saving Power Pool for Small Commercial Customers
If you are a small commercial entity, with less than 1000 kw (i.e., 1 MW) of
peak electricity demand, you can still realize cost savings by participating in
a power pool. Here’s how it works….
- Each month, UES conducts at least one cost saving power pool in which we
pool the electricity loads of small
commercial entities to achieve an aggregate electricity load ("demand") of at least 5 MW.
- This allows us to have more buying power (compared to pricing an individual
small customer) when we negotiate with our wholesale suppliers to procure energy
to satisfy your load requirements. UES’
Power Pool customers will therefore
get
prices that are reflective of those of a large customer –
the Power Pool.
- You will benefit from the cost savings that arise from purchasing electricity
in large- versus small- quantities.
You may enroll to join a
UES Cost Saving Power Pool if your facilities satisfy
any of the following conditions:
A. At least 200 kw (or kVA) of peak demand and no more than three (3) meters
B. At least 400 kw (or kVa) of peak demand and no more than 6 (six) meters
C. At least 800kw (or kVa) of peak demand and no more than 10 (10) meters
To sign up as a Power Pool customer, simply complete
